In response to the question "Why Management Skills training?" - a Senior Pharmaceutical Adviser from Liverpool said:

"In an organisation as complex as a Trust or Primary Care Organisation there is a clear need for each of us to understand the business processes of which we are but one part: both to see how our work fits in and to understand the wider context.

Pharmacists are the NHS medicines experts but in order to progress our agenda we need management skills development within our CPD portfolio in order to achieve our professional aspirations.

None of us can function in isolation. For me, management skills offer the way to creating an environment for getting the best out of people - starting with myself! They are often life skills too - transferable into family and personal circumstances as well as work."
