Managing Medicines in the Reforming NHS

This Pharmacy Management seminar was held in October 2007 at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the agenda was created to reflect the environmental pressures which are, and will be, influencing the direction for Pharmacy in the reforming NHS. The topicality of the event was maintained by speakers dealing with such issues as:-

  • The future of Medicines Management in Primary and Secondary Care within the reforming NHS.
  • How the Area Prescribing Committees will change to meet the needs of the local healthcare economy.
  • Working across the interface and new models of joint prescribing policies.
  • The Challenge/Opportunity for Pharmacy.
  • Marketing Pharmacy to key stakeholders.
  • NICE Commissioning Guide.
  • Risk Sharing.

Speakers were drawn from both Primary and Secondary Pharmacy and outside to give different perspectives on the issues faced in the profession.

The audience was made up of delegates from the NHS and, as in previous years, members of Healthcare Companies.

You will need to register with Pharmacy Management in order to access the documents.

Please note - presenters job titles are listed as they were at the time of the presentations.
