Type 1 diabetes in hospital The sessions will focus on optimising medication and patient care for patients with type 1 diabetes whilst they are in hospital . Patients with type 1 diabetes are often admitted to hospital not primarily due to their diabetes so we will look at ways to practically manage their diabetes . Areas that will be covered include :
