Satellite Description

The treatment of patients with acute stroke and their subsequent recovery depends greatly on making the right decisions within the acute setting.

Find out more about the importance of door to needle time, what interventions should take place in the ED and what is the evidence underpinning these interventions in the acute stroke setting.

Establish what interventions are made in the management of ischaemic strokes and haemorrhagic strokes and determine how the latest evidence influences how these are managed in the ED department.
