Specialist Management of Heart Failure Heart failure is a complex syndrome and the evidence base for the initial pharmacological treatment is well established. Pharmacists are ideally placed to improve patient outcomes when working as part of the multidisciplinary team in both primary and secondary care. This session will cover the management of patients with heart failure including the place in therapy of newer treatments, non- pharmacological interventions and managing patients with more complex co-morbidities as well as considering where pharmacists may wish to develop their role in the management of heart failure patients. | ||||
