Satellite Description

This session will do what it states on the tin! It will explore anticoagulation options in patients where the evidence is limited or conflicting or there is a lack of evidence. Areas for discussion will include anticoagulation for VTE and stroke prevention in AF in patients

  • At extremes of body weight
  • With poor renal function
  • On interacting medication
  • After extensive GI surgery such as total gastrectomy or ileostomy formation
  • After a serious bleed.
