Cardiovascular disease is estimated to affect 7 million people in the UK, with healthcare costs totalling an estimated £9 billion each year. A number of different tests are used to diagnose heart-related problems, ranging from physical assessments to various imaging modalities. This session will give a brief overview of the different cardiovascular investigations used in practice to diagnose cardiovascular disease, how to interpret results of investigations to diagnose or exclude cardiac disease and implications for pharmacists; ensuring pharmacotherapy optimised and lifestyle recommendations are adhered to. | ||||
