UKCPA Patient Safety Award Winner 2018 The workshop will review the results of a pilot Pharmacy team service to the ED at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust. The main focus will be the safety benefits of introducing a Pharmacy Service to ED; we also aim to explore the process of deciding on the optimal skill mix for Pharmacy team members in this environment. Financial considerations proving the viability of the service will be discussed as well as perceptions of pharmacy team members and the multidisciplinary team of the new service. The session will be presented by part of the team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians involved in the pilot and an academic representative from the University of Central Lancashire.
