Published in October 2017 the NICE guideline covers the diagnosis and management of cystic fibrosis. It specifies how to monitor the condition and manage symptoms to improve quality of life. Cystic fibrosis is a multi-system disorder although this session will focus on the respiratory elements. This will include the management of respiratory infections, and the use of mucoactive and immunomodulatory agents. The session will provide background to how the guideline was developed and will explore the available evidence-base behind the recommendations. | ||||
