Satellite Description

Emotional Development is Quality Improvement (QI) of the Mind.

(Strategies and techniques to support our personal QI in our professional roles)

In 2016 I completed a research project as part of the CLIP programme titled:

“The Pharmacy Profession – Competence to Confidence”

One of the key findings of this project was that we rightly place a strong emphasis on our professional development but perhaps there is less focus on soft skill development, in particular our emotional development.

Broadening our development focus could enable us to move from a competent profession to a truly confident profession, where we value our contribution, see ourselves equal to other healthcare colleagues and embrace and deliver the changing pharmacy environment.

So, would you like to:

  • Have a better understanding of emotional development and the benefits?
  • Get some ideas of where we could start?
  • Have some “take-aways” to support your and other’s emotional development?

If your answer is YES to any of these 3 questions then sign up to this interactive session to support your personal QI journey.
