WEBINAR SESSION SYNOPSES AND SPEAKER DETAILS Virtual and Telephone Consultations - PM Academy Trainer As we all know Covid-19 has changed how we interact. Face to face is no longer the go-to medium for interaction with patients or colleagues in many instances. This brings a fresh challenge in terms of skills and behaviours that we must now learn fast. There are benefits to being able to interact virtually but there also comes many drawbacks, no longer can you check a patients inhaler usage technique, you won’t always get to read body language as now many appointments are telephone appointments. In this session we will look at tips and techniques that you can use to smooth the communication and get the best from each patient interaction, whether it is by phone, video call or a bespoke platform. We will put under the microscope the core skills required to enhance your ability and confidence to get the best outcome for your patients and colleagues. This will include things such as; effective questioning, active listening, non-verbal cues for virtual meetings and a few techniques that help with checking understanding and commitment to action.
