Event Description

PM ACADEMY

A regular series of fortnightly webinars to support professional development and enhancement of patient care by the sharing of best practice.

Utilising PM Trainers from the successful Clinical Leadership in Pharmacy (CLIP) programme to deliver practical learning sessions of skills designed to aid personal and organisation development.

To complement skills acquisition there will be a second session in the webinar to exchange best practice which will be delivered by presenters whose satellite sessions have been significantly oversubscribed at Pharmacy Management Conferences.

It is anticipated the PM ACADEMY will be very popular so early registration for each webinar is recommended.

WEBINAR SESSION SYNOPSES AND SPEAKER DETAILS

Understanding Motivational Drivers to Improve Performance  - Miranda Hanks

We don’t always stop to think what motivates us at work.

However, understanding our motivational drivers (and those of others), can be very beneficial in appreciating what drives us and our performance.

During this webinar, you will:

  • Learn about the top career motivators
  • Identify which are top of your list and what they mean to you
  • How they are linked to satisfaction and performance

Medicines Value Programmes - Suzy Heafield, Head of Medicines Value, NHS England and NHS Improvement

We will describe a strategic planning methodology to identify opportunities associated with high cost drugs; from the introduction of new agents through to loss of patent exclusivity. Areas we will discuss include analysis, prioritisation, procurement, implementation and monitoring. We will also discuss the next steps for the Medicines Value Programme.

Learning outcomes:

• What is strategic category management

• Which areas are initial priorities

• What are the next priorities for the Medicines Value Programme

• How delegates can support delivery of these priorities
