Satellite Anti thrombotics – choices, choices, choices, and often in combination!
Speakers Duncan McRobbie
Satellite Description

Much knowledge has been gained since the developments of aspirin and warfarin despite both agents being highly successful antiplatelet and anticoagulant drugs respectively.  However, as our understanding of platelet biology and clotting cascade has developed, so has the development of newer drugs that are potentially more effective.  Greater choice brings greater complexity for choosing the right agent for the right individual at the right dose.  This presentation will highlight and discuss some of the common pitfalls with antithrombotics as well as the need for combination therapy.
