Consultant pharmacist posts were first recognised in England in 2005. With the advent of integrated care the need for posts such as these, to provide strategic clinical and professional leadership across the system has never been greater. Over the last year the existing consultant pharmacist development guidance has been reviewed and opinions sought from across the profession in order to develop guidance fit for the current and emerging NHS. This session will provide a summary of the findings to date as well as the sharing the detail of the refreshed guidance.
