Insulin Titration (made easy)

 

The aim of this session is to help the generalist and specialist pharmacist develop the skills and competence to advise on insulin dose titration.  To achieve this aim the session will include the following;

- time action profiles of insulins

- list the common insulin regimens

-target blood glucose levels

-interpretation of blood glucose profiles

-basic principles of carbohydrate counting

-principles of insulin dose titration

The session will put the theory into practice with examples of insulin dose titration to work through.
