Competency Framework for Diabetes - Building a Portfolio

With the continuously evolving and expanding role of the pharmacist, it is often difficult to know how to develop your career and what to do to ensure that you are offering the best care to your patients with diabetes. Until now there have been limited structured opportunities to ‘develop’ your speciality interest, especially in diabetes where pharmacists are relatively rare in multi-disciplinary teams.

This session is designed to talk through the various tools and opportunities that are available and allow individuals to start considering where there may be gaps in their learning and experience. We will consider case studies of pharmacists currently working in diabetes, in different sectors of the profession and there will be opportunities to share practice and to determine the next steps for your development.
