This session will use case studies to explore different treatment options for patients who have had a DVT or PE. It will include newly diagnosed patients as well as those requiring long term prevention for recurrent events or after unprovoked events. We will look at pregnancy and cancer related DVT and PE and the issues with the management of those patient groups. Though DOACs will obviously be covered extensively in the session other anticoagulant options will also be discussed fully and the idea of medicines optimisation in this area will be discussed. | ||||
